The Bridge

When I was seventeen

I never thought I would be here

crossing this bridge with you,

looking at the bay,

dotted with white sails,

and a 3 masted schooner.

I never would have thought-

there would be diamonds,

sparkling on the water,

announcing the celebration,

of you and I.
