The Sounds of Heaven

Some believe there will be shouting,

jumping up and down,

lots of noise.

I doubt it,

He is a God of peace,

walking in the Garden,

in the cool of the day.

Angels do proclaim,

making grand announcements,

if we say anything,

I think we will be face down,

saying, “have mercy on us”,

for messing up our world,

not taking care of each other,

have mercy.

If there is any noise,

I hope it will be peaceful,

some wooden flutes,

and just maybe –

a drum or two.
