The View from Our Window

Maine and More 255

Tonight more than any other night,

let’s sit by the window,

so we can take in,

the water, the coastline.

I will always remember Maine,

hiding in our bungalow,

your face reflecting the sun.

Is roast beef ok?

Lost, staring at each other,

remembering the single rose,

on our first date,

I hand you another one.

Hearts melting,

I take your hand in mine,

and bring it to my face,

tears streaming,

flooded with love for you.

I guess the roast beef can wait,

as we close the curtains,

and pull down the shades,

our lips find each other.

Happy Anniversary sweetheart,

you know I love you,

tears and kisses blending,

My Love.

Note: This is about an anniversary celebration from years past. It’s not our anniversary today, but sometimes I do look back on this.

Blessings to everyone and peace!

    1. Thank you Laine Anne! I love Maine but we go there for vacations only, and special times. Maybe someday we will stay there…… Peace and blessings.

      1. I also loved Maine, Nico… looks like our Bretagne – West Atlantic French coast… 🙂
