I Remember a Time

I remember a time,

when men and women were valued,

called each other human beings,

within the greater splendor,

of creation.

Collecting plants, and hunting,

for food, always embracing,

a community,

and always,

connected to the earth,

attached to the sky,

drinking in the clean,

clear water from heaven.

I still love their names,

Arapaho, Shoshone, Cheyenne,

Lakota, Crow, and many others,

alive today, dancing,

and loving the earth.

Maybe they are here to remind us,

to do the same,

to call each other human beings.

I hope it’s not too late.

I hope.

Blessings to everyone, and peace!

  1. Awww that is so beautiful Nico! If people would just allow the light to touch their hearts and return home, this would be the new earth… I hope too!
