No One Ever Saw Me

Oceans 794

No one ever saw me,

the way you did,

discovering,

with long distance vision,

my gold vein,

under jagged rocks.

You took a chance,

on a piece of the Dead Sea,

opening your wounds,

I walked in with healing balm,

a rose,

wondering, hoping,

you would accept me,

if you would reject the wounds,

I had.

We embraced each other,

and every thorn, every cut,

one heart bleeding,

then healed,

as I became your knight,

and you became my river.

All because,

no one ever saw me,

the way you did.

My Love.

  1. another splendid declaration of LOVE, Sir Nico-Lion… 🙂 your beloved one must have looked at you with her heart… ❤ btw, your poem has reminded me of one of St-Exupéry's quotes:"Aimer, ce n'est pas se regarder l'un l'autre, c'est regarder ensemble dans la même direction…" – "To love is not to look at one another – it is to look, together, in the same direction…”

  2. That touch me a lot: “as I became your knight, and you became my river.” Growing together in each ones particular way to become one. Wow, that gave me goose bumps.
