The Windows of the Cafe

When God looks in on us,

through the windows of the café,

do you think He smiles?

Does He approve of us staring,

into each other’s eyes?

Is holding hands too much?

some would condemn us,

wag a finger, shake their head,

trying to clothe us, in condemnation,

remember that time some church people,

questioned us, for holding hands?

I don’t need to be 20,

I just want you to know,

how I feel.

I think He does approve,

as He looks at us,

through the windows,

of the café.

  1. I’m sure the Author of love smiles as He sees His children showing such natural and beautiful signs of affection. After all, it is He who took Eve from the place closest to man’s heart…ever meaning them to be reunited.

      1. You’re welcome! 🙂 I’ll really have to send you links to some of those lovely articles and letters about marriage from my course…I’ve been busy trying to promote my new book! Haven’t forgotten, though…

  2. That’s lovely. He was probably sitting in the seat behind you having a coffee. That’s what I’d do if I was God. Thanks for posting such nice thoughts. Kris
