Stillness

Maine and More 078

When the river is quiet,

there’s a stillness in my spirit,

an assurance of calm,

that builds me,

lifting me, higher,

that says to me,

you know the way,

just walk,

clocks,

don’t matter here,

choose,

the path, you’ve been given.

Turtles, on the bottom,

stirring mud,

don’t fly very high,

watch the fish hawk instead,

and copy,

his courage.

Go deep,

and be filled,

never expecting darkness,

plow for the stillness,

when the river is quiet.

    1. Cindy that is a huge compliment. I am humbled. Thank you for all of your encouragement. And you’re right blogging does open up doors to meet people and see their work. I really enjoy your blog. Peace my friend and thanks again.

  1. The hardest paths lead to the most beautiful flowers that most people can’t even imagine, yet we get to see something beautiful. I’m feeling growing pains hard core myself.
