There are so many reasons I have,
to hold you in my heart,
in my arms,
it’s not just what you bring,
to the table,
or what you give,
it’s who you are.
You are my eyes when I can’t see,
my heart of compassion,
for others, you taught me,
to care,
to breathe blessings,
living in the forgiving,
to have a heart that makes sense,
and to not let go.
What can I give you in return?
ten thousand roses?
No, I have only one thing I can give,
Myself.
Everything that I am, my faithfulness,
everything that I have,
my heart, and love,
belongs to you only,
I give you myself.
we give each other,
the greatest of gifts,
each other.

We have a special day tomorrow as my old friend Fr. Anthony (we used to volunteer together in the poor neighborhood before he was a priest and I had kids) has a special Mass and reception before he leaves to Rome for studies. We will miss him as the kids love it when he comes for dinner and watches the Muppets with us!
The Muppets are so cool! And it’s wonderful having friends like that. Sounds like a wonderful time! Peace.
Thanks, Nico! And many Sunday blessings to your family as well! Loving the Friday spirituals posts by the way. The psalms are so beautiful.
