American Dream

Do you work too much? I do, I think we all do at some point. After all, we need to do what we can, for ourselves and our families. But there comes a point where our work can damage our relationships. We can easily become obsessed with what we do, and the material benefits we can reap.

This video has a story in it, of one family. Yes there is film of the band playing, but it is also interwoven with a family, not exactly experiencing domestic bliss.

Please be careful with your ears! The guitars here are very loud, which is one of the reasons I like it! I love guitars, add some great drumming, and a positive message, and your talking my language! This is very positive. There’s one line in the beginning I don’t care for, but the rest I love, especially the last line of the song.

So give someone a hug today, and put the work down, just for a few.

I wish you peace, and rest.

      1. Yeah sure I like Q… though my friends call me sweet… but I like “Q” hehehe cause I am quirky in so many ways 🙂 anyway, I do like to read post with lessons and wisdom and you never fail me… 🙂

  1. My son is a great drummer. Our neighbors didn’t appreciate it as much as you. lol! This is a poignant message, Nico. My father was a humble man, but felt he had no worth unless he could work and earn as much money as possible. He achieved the American Dream, but our family became estranged in the end.

    1. Yes it does happen and always with good intentions. Sometimes we learn but then it seems to late. Forgiveness is the key at that point. Thanks Laine Anne for your beautiful comments. Peace and every good blessing.
