Writing About Us

Oceans 262

Our passion remains behind the veil

as it should be, I want to treat you as the royalty

you are, sent down from on high,

my Queen. So I write about us on the beach

holding hands, sitting on the porch, having dinner

and looking into those eyes, those amazing eyes.

Hold still for a second, so I can gaze into eternity

once again. I am undone.

  1. I love this Nicodemas. My husband and I will be married 39 years on King’s Night. People are often surprised by our youthful appearance and repertoire of words like ‘honey’ and ‘sweetheart’ in daily conversation. Your poem is what it means to ‘cherish’ the one’s we love. Just a beautiful work as always. Thank you for sharing.

    1. Laine Anne first of all congratulations on your marriage! Thank you for your wonderful comments. I love to hear about couples still being very much in love after a long time. We are going strong after more than 30 years. And we do the same when we talk to each other. In addition to “My Love” I call her sweetheart, and some other beautiful names. She does the same. She is a constant source of inspiration as you know. Peace and many blessings to you.
