Hattie Tom - Chiricahua Apache 1899

When women get tired of their royalty stolen

they will learn to say no, becoming assertive

saying no to abandonment, no to abuse

remembering the history of men,

becoming regents of their own destinies

so that we learn to recognize them

for who they are, the light shining

from their souls brighter

than the sun – created like us

to be sovereigns

ruling here with us

under the sky walking the same path

discovering our royalty together.

  1. A beautiful tribute to unify the human race. Your timing is perfect, as I had a similar conversation with someone about this very idea yesterday afternoon. Great work. xo
