Friday Night Culture – Drums

Sheila E - Concert Shots

Ready to have some fun? Well it is Friday night after all! I decided to take a one night break from my normal writing and stretch out a little.

So here are three different short performances of drums. Sheila E. has to be the best percussionist around today. She is amazing.

Keith Moon is from the rock band the Who, and unfortunately is no longer around, may he rest in peace. He is one of the best drummers in history. If you watch any of the old footage of him, he really seems to be soaring on another plane.

Jen Ledger from the band Skillet is one of the best drummers around. Yes I purposely picked two women, because woman seldom get the credit they deserve when it comes to modern music. The video with Jen is very loud so be careful! Each video is uniquely different but I think the one with Sheila E. is the best. I love these!

More writing on the way tomorrow! Have a great weekend!

  1. Oh man, Sheila just got me all sorts of hot & bothered, she’s fantastic! Drumming her heart out while rocking a cocktail dress, I bow down. Thanks for the nice distraction. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. This is great Nico! My son is a song writer and drummer by night and a carpenter by day. The neighbors didn’t appreciate drummers much but we worked it out in the end. I’ve heard him speak admirably of Jen Ledger’s talent as a drummer.
