The Tenderness of Green

Old Photos 168

Green is the softness, the gentleness we long for

as our souls break the ice, our minds can see clearly

allowing our spirits to run faster, knowing the other world

where we breathe and listen to the earth,

along with our hearts beating, telling us the story

we so desperately need to hear, that there is life

after the winter, a splash of yellow, purple or blue,

to encourage us, to keep us going,

always with the roots,

and the tenderness

of green.

  1. Does your theme support like button in comment section? This is such a soft poem and bloggers have shared their beautiful thoughts in comment section here. I wish I could click the like button for all these comments here.

    1. Thank you Madeeha. Yes I have found though that wordpress can have problems in this area, it has happened before. Some have liked this one. Also with this theme if you click on the title it will open that poem and you can see the like button. Thank you for reading and commenting! Peace to you.
