Drinking In

Mountains and Rivers 401

Drinking from the source we draw closer to each other

letting go, yet reaching for the core, eyes seeing

horizontally. We can see the colors pulling

together, adding life to the grey,

and freeing us from the thoughts

of our own tyrants, allowing us

to be one with ourselves,

and with each other,

spirits flowing part of

the whole, we are

immersed in the flow

from deep down

and the captive

set free.

Drinking in.

    1. Yes that is true, we need to have an internal healing sometimes that enables us to see others for who they are. For me nature can often propel or assist with finding who we are, and making us whole. I think that is one reason God has made the earth so beautiful. Thank you Connie, and peace!

      1. I see so very much in nature as well. It never ceases to amaze me what we it has to teach us and how much alike we are to everything around us.
Your post are wonderful insights for all who read them. Blessings to you Nicodemus.

    1. Thank you Ady! I was aiming for the poem to be mystical, so thank you for your comments. Yes when we do care about people, accepting them, and loving them we do give them hope! Peace to you.

  2. very nice and profound poem… it has reminded me of this quote:”Like streams and plants, souls need rain, but of another kind: hope, faith, reason of living. Otherwise, even though the body continues to live, the soul will pine away…”(Paulo Coelho)
