Friday Night Culture – Strings!

flying with a cello

I think my favorite instrument of all is the cello, yes even more than the guitar! I love the deep, rich sound of the cello. At our house we listen to a variety of music, including classical.

I’ve picked three amazing videos for us tonight, each different and yet so beautiful. I love the natural beauty and cinematography of each one.

I Will Wait, by 2 Cellos. The scenery here is amazing, and the waterfalls are exceptional. If you’ve never heard these two guys before you, are in for a real musical treat. I also enjoy how they mix classical music, with contemporary. Check out their videos on youtube.

Into the Woods Medley, by Lindsey Stirling. Her music is always good, and here she plays a medley from the movie. Once again the nature photography is wonderfully beautiful, and there is an element of fantasy and fairy tales, woven in.

This Is Your Fight Song, by the Piano Guys. Stunning photography, along with inspiring music make this video a favorite of mine. There is such beauty, strength, and encouragement here! Ever been to Scotland? Let’s take a ride. Here we have the cello accompanied by the piano, and escorted by Highland drums and bagpipes!

Let us keep marching, because we are not finished yet, and we all have a lot more beauty to share!

Enjoy! Have a great weekend!

  1. Fantabulous, Nico!!!!! These are GREAT!!!! I adore the cello too! There’s one on youtube called The Cello Song by the Piano Guys and it is my happy song. When I need to be lifted up I listen to it over and over again. Thanks for sharing this. Love and hugs, N 🙂 ❤
