Rhetoric

As the war of words rages

on TV, the world still waits

for an America that makes sense,

pulling out of the grey stopping

the blur, I love my country

but we don’t have the answers now

we have lost our way.

  1. Yes, I love my country. I believe we as Americans are fighting for our country. We want to take back what our forefathers fought so hard to obtain, and establish…under God. Our blessed hope is in Him who loves us! Thank you for sharing your poem. Frustration runs deep in the world news. Continued prayer for our Country, our children and their futures…May God Bless America!

    1. Thank you Denise! We can all do a part of making our land a better place. Some policitians say they are Christians though and then go berserk saying crazy things. This sends a mixed message and it is often difficult to tell who to believe. That is my point here. Whether there is faith or no faith compassion is the key I think. Peace to you.

  2. America will only be “made great again” if she relearns how to live and let live. I don’t see anyone, now that Rand Paul has dropped out, who might genuinely toggle that– least of all the sloganmeister. We need less rhetoric-filled campaigns (not more!), helpful fair-but-tough moderators worth their careers (at the very least), and some grand overall reform of campaigning which won’t weed out the good guys early.

    1. Outstanding! Yes! I so agree. I do not know Paul well, but I have no one to vote for. I mean no one! It seems to be all just a meaningless blur. That is the way I feel. Peace and thank you.

    1. Thank you Erika! That is a huge compliment but we just need to have our priorities straight and stop the hate! I will never vote for anyone that is vulgar and hates people that are different from themselves. Peace my friend.

  3. Nico, our country has been lost for a long time. Not one in the presidential running has this country’s best interest at heart, nor cares about “we the people”. Perhaps this darkness and chaos and insanity are all needed to get people back to God. Perhaps. And when they do go back, God help those people who have done their best to destroy this nation! LOVE will conquer all, my friend! The power is in US, we the people! People need to wake up first to realize this! ❤

    1. Wow Amy, thank you for your wonderful comments. I don’t have anyone to vote for. I hope we do wake up, and soon. This is the worst crew of candidates that i have seen. You’re right somehow we will get through this. Love wins! Peace and every good blessing to you.

      1. I have no one to vote for either, Nico. I honestly don’t know what to do except not vote. I will NOT vote for any who are running now, that I can tell you.

  4. My Dad use to say that things go wrong, and then they get better again that’s the way of life. Usually we come out stronger in the end. Change does hurt and causes confusion. It’s all the more important that those of us who know and experience the better good…join together in thoughts of hope, love, peace and the betterment all humanity.

  5. I guess things are becoming odd everywhere…. At least we know which is the right path… I am sure that hope and strenght, alongside good intentions will make the world a better place- Love and best wishes. Aquileana ⭐️.-

  6. Totally agree. I think Mr “I refuse to say his name” thinks his reality TV series has just gone global. If he really becomes president Lord help us.
