Standing Still

Lighthouses never really answer our calling

our yearning, for answers against the tide

searching the horizon for the meaning of our pain.

But somehow they do offer hope, simply standing

strong against the wind, never leaning

not shattered, but offering the light

in the fog. Perhaps we don’t really need

our answers, but simply strength

for standing still.

      1. That poem was wonderful! You have such a gift in stating things so full of feelings but clear and understandable. That makes it going so deep!

  1. That is a nice quality for the world to have. This really brings to life a new message, and a thought bubble in my head. I love philosophy. When did this come to you? It’s a really nice piece of poetry.
