It is Good Friday. This weekend millions of people around the world will celebrate Easter, some in a secular way, but many will have faith burning brightly. And Easter in many places is a part of our culture.
But I hesitate this time of year, and at Christmas, because this is not a faith based blog, and it never has been. Many bloggers are much better at sharing their faith than I am. This is a creative writing blog, that’s the way I have designed it.
I also tend to be very accepting of different views. The fact is, I love and respect all people, and I love different cultures, and I always will. Sometimes I would rather talk to a Buddhist, than a fundamentalist Christian, depending on the people of course. That’s just who I am.
Experiencing love and compassion within a faith though can be so beautiful. I have selected two songs that I hope you will enjoy. They are heart songs really, of looking for the One who made us.
I know in my own life there have been a number of times, I have felt very alone, and even for forsaken, especially in the past several years, but faith and the love of my family keeps me going.
I’ll be posting some more this weekend, including some ancient poems which I love.
Happy Easter everyone! And regardless of your faith, I wish you peace!

“When we love people, we give them hope.”

Yay! Thank you Belinda, for your continued blogging friendship. Happy Easter, peace and many blessings to ya!
Always. 🙂
I love Kari Jobe’s cover the Revelation Song too. Happy Easter, Nicodemas.
Happy Easter Laine Anne, to you and your family. Yes Kari Jobe is wonderful. I only discovered her about a year or so ago. One of my daughters was listening. It’s amazing what we can learn from our children! Peace and be blessed.
I don’t think any of us would hold it against you if you wrote about your faith. Creative writing can, of course, encompass anything, it’s the quality and content which keeps us coming back for more, and you’ve got those areas covered without a doubt. So not to worry, it’s your blog, write what your heart tells you. We enjoy your work 😀
Happy Easter to you and yours as well!

Blessings and peace dear. In the Greek Orthodox Church we call Easter Pascha 🙂 it will be celebrated on May 1st 2016 this year because of calendars and the full moon cycle. Happy Easter to you and yours dear and if you have a chance look up the celebrations the Orthodox do for Lent, any of my friends that have ever been to the church are really impressed and enjoy going back to the yearly Pascha celebrations.
That is awesome, I did not know about the Orthodox. I hope come May 1 I can remember to say Happy Pascha. Is that how you would say it? I love your comments so thank you! Peace to you and yours.
You can say Happy Pascha, that would be lovely. In the church we say Alithos Anesti which means He has Risen, then the reply is Christos anesti, which means Truly he has risen. I enjoy your blog posts when I can catch them. Blessings to you and yours.
Awesome! Thanks again.
Thank you for this post, Nico. May we all encounter the soon to be risen Christ and in the light of His amazing love, sacrifice, and grace find ways to make Him a part of everything we do in some way. We are really just seed planters. I pray for peace for world, for you, and for all those that you love and cherish, and I pray that we would all have a very personal encounter with our beloved Messiah. Love and hugs, Natalie 🙂 ❤
Thank you Natalie for your beautiful, beautiful comments. You are a constant source of encouragement! Thank you for your prayers. May you continue to be blessed, protected, have good health, and peace!
