Friday Night Culture – Folk Music

There are many types of folk music, but the folk music from the 1960’s still has the power it once did. When the power of a music endures you know it is good!

Usually containing at least one acoustic guitar, and lyrics that either teach us, or tell a story (and still teach us), their songs speak of ending violence, war, and almost always the importance of loving each other. Love is still the most powerful force on earth, in spite of what we see on the news.

I love these songs, there is wonderful poetry in each one.

I hope you enjoy them. Peter, Paul, and Mary are by far my most favorite group.

Peace and have a great weekend.

Peace and blessings to everyone.

  1. TENDER PLACE in my heart! The Wedding Song was played at our wedding (36 years ago) and Puff was the one of the first songs my brother taught me on the guitar (even longer ago!) Thanks for a great way to start the weekend!
