In These Fields

Do you remember my love, walking in these fields when we were young? Picking apples in the orchard. You were so free back then, I loved looking at your smile, your joy. And when the children were little, you taught them how to love nature. It was worth working, all those crazy hours.

I’m sorry My Love, for taking us to the fundamentalist churches after you were sick, no I mean it. You were right, I was wrong. It’s just…….well…….you were so close to dying, I thought we somehow needed to be closer to the sacred mountain. That we needed interpreters to help us live out the text, but it was just awful, and so difficult for you, and the children. Please forgive me. Yes it is true, I was afraid.

I want us always to be free, with faith yes, but the kind made from love, instead of the high and mighty. Can I hold your hand again? I will always love you, cherish you, and do everything I can to be worthy of you.

I pray one day we will be very, very old, and still be able……to walk in these fields.

  1. We turn to what we know or think we know best in our most desperate time of need. For some reason we stop trusting what we really know deep down inside to be true. I know because I did it myself when I was overcome by pain and the fear it created.
The important thing now is to do exactly what your doing, looking at it, and learning from it, so that next time you’ll be better prepared to turn to your own faith, belief and truth. Peace and blessings Nico.
