The Heat of Summer

20160610_164850

The heat of the summer is not the punishment for our sins

nor the disconnecting of divinity, instead

it is the earth drawing closer

to her great love, rotating softly,

slowly while he pours out

his life giving rays.

And the moon witnesses the marriage, radiating her beauty,

yet blushing red, on the hottest days.

  1. The moon witnesses the marriage! God paints his pictures in all his creations to show the similarities, and you use your words to make it clearer for us to see. Beautifully done Nico.

  2. @”The heat of the summer is not the punishment for our sins…” – certainly not… God or any other Divinity does NOT punish, we simply punish ourselves – via our choices or decisions…

we have a hard time to bear the hot summers… after we retire, we’ll spend July and August in the Pyrénées mountains – the French-Spanish borders… 🙂
