And warriors have been known to cross a raging river,
climb the highest mountains, pass through the tallest fires
with blades flashing, fighting the most horrible battles,
sacrificing their lives in order to get to
their Queen, and protect her.
And today, warriors work the most horrible hours
escaping from the most angry of bosses, running from the tallest
of high-rises, risking their lives on the most hazardous
of highways, in order to get to
their Queen and cherish her.
And although Queens seldom need protecting now, warriors are known to still carry their armor and weapons, until they reach the front door. Where they leave it in a heap, so they can fully experience Her Majesty’s embrace, and perhaps even read her – some poetry.
