Unconditional

100_1471

When our trauma has been washed, and we are in one piece again,

our blood shot eyes will begin to see the good

in each of us, and our shattering

will teach us the courage

to love

unconditionally.

  1. Totally! Have you seen the movie Inside Out? I had a social worker say that she loved it because it gave “sadness” its proper place in our heart, ie, the development of compassion, etc. Beautiful offering here, and thank you for it!

    1. Thank you Dawn for your wonderful comments! No I’ve not seen that one yet. Tough times are awful but maybe God uses them to build compassion within us. Peace to you and blessings!

  2. The emotional highs and lows during the state of trauma are often destructive and it is only when we have made it out of the storm that things begun to clarify.
You prompt so many thoughts in my otherwise still mind Nico! I have always enjoyed visiting your blog and today was no different. Thank you for such beautiful writing ^_^
