Resting on a Bare Branch

100_5614

A gentle spirit follows a leaf floating in the release,

quickly confirmed by the soft sun, the wind carrying

at times even lifted, meandering, resting on a bare branch

yet eventually falling softly, willing to embrace death

on the forest floor, yet so hopeful.

Perhaps they do know really

it is not the end.
