The Winter Dawn

100_5658

As the brilliance of the winter sun begins to break through the cold

tree branches are absorbed becoming lost in rays of light,

signaling there is still life here, as I take a deep breath

the wind moves, and slowly the snow covering

the trees, begins a christening of the earth

falling gently, and I am in awe

of yet another new day,

just born.
