My Faith IX

Our prophecies and theologies don’t matter nearly as much,

as the love we carry, or don’t carry

in our hearts.

  1. “If anyone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen” (1 John 4: 20).

  2. So profoundly true. All the words in the world do not amount to anything compared to what is truly felt in the heart. Peace and beautiful day Nico.

  3. your faith and your lines have reminded me of Dalai Lama’s wisdom and pure common sense:
“I believe the purpose of all major religious traditions is not to construct big temples on the outside, but to create temples of goodness and compassion inside – in our hearts. This is my simple religion – no need for temples and complicated philosophy. Our own brain and our own heart are our temple, and its philosophy is kindness.”(Tenzin Gyatso aka Dalai Lama)

    1. Wonderful words Melanie, merci! This is true. I think it’s ok to have a religion with a building, but love is the key that unlocks the door. Peace my friend to you and your family.
