The Thin Veil

So many scars ago, we were searching

for words,

but now that we have walked through

the thin veil of healing,

our poetry lifts us,

into the heavens.

      1. Thank you very much. I’m still at the hospital and expect to be home somewhere in August, if all go well. For now I read blogs, when I have the energy.

  1. I was once a very insecure girl who wrote poems of hate and sadness. Sometimes I read through the poems and I cannot recognise her. I now write poetry that is uplifting as I too have passed through this veil you talk about. Thank you for capturing this journey in such a beautiful poem 🙂

    1. Thank you for your beautiful comments RJ! Is it ok to use your initials? I know exactly what you mean. Our poetry can be transformed as we are changed. Peace to you and wonderful blessings!

    1. Thank you Karen for your beautiful comment! I am writing – in fact I love writing, but I need more healing for this ole body! Peace to you my friend and be blessed.
