Listening to Our Hearts

The forest doesn’t hold onto our echoes,

absorbing the sound

so that we can listen,

to our presence

and our hearts.

  1. That’s a wonderful point, Nicodemas. That’s right, through the silence of the forest we are more aware of ourselves and everything around us which makes us absorb the strengthening energy it provides.

  2. It truly resonates with me too. Your poems and photos cross all borders and remind us of our human nature – and that all is not lost, even in turbulent times. Blessings to you and your family!

  3. my own “philosophy”, too… 🙂 btw, I often follow Thoreau’s wisdom:”Whenever I need to recreate myself, I seek the darkest woods, the thickest and most interminable. I enter as in a sacred place – a ‘sanctum sanctorum’: there is the strength and the marrow of Nature.”(Henry David Thoreau – Walking)
