When I Was a River

When I was a river I didn’t mind the rapids, the turbulence

carrying me further, around the rocks

up and over,

beyond, what was possible,

I was always moving.

And now that I’m a lake

I go deeper,

and deeper still

into the peace,

in the depths

of the spirit.

  1. Wonderful words, and such a deep meaning. It says now that you have matured, you have settled down and is at peace with wisdom. Thank you for sharing with us such deep and wise words in the form of poetry. I wish you luck to write more and more. Love and Light from me 🙂 ❤
