As the forest drew me closer, a hawk landed
on a tree branch close to me,
turning his head he said,
“Walk tall my brother,
feel God’s strength in your bones today,
and His light in your spirit.”
And with those words I breathed in the strength,
of the One who made me.

I love this. I’m infamous for talking to animals and particularly birds. I actually imagine I know what their reply is. And somehow being closely bonded with the wild seems closer to God at times.
Yes for sure! Nature does bring us closer. I have been blessed by hawks many times, and have one near our house. One day he flew very slowly, and very close – passing my head, and looked at me, as if to see who I was. He was so close I could have reached out and touched him. I took this as encouragement from Our Creator. Thank you, peace and great blessings to you.
