The Last Snowflake

Only a few flakes swirl now, meandering towards the earth

as winter loses its battle, green shoots stand at attention,

while in the silence, the sun pulls away

the clouds,

and the last snowflake

melts on the petal

of a daffodil.

  1. OH you give me HOPE, Nico!! We still have snow on the ground here. The Crocuses that had opened are now buried in said snow. Spring will be here SOON!!! 🤗

  2. Gosh, I used to cling to those first signs of spring like a life raft when I lived in Iowa. Wishing a speedy spring arrival for you! 🙂 Very nice words as always.

  3. Those magnificent flowers sometimes still in the last snow are like the heralds of the spring .which attract us to the garden
Your poem Nico says well what I feel
    In friendship
