The Silence of My Heart

100_1046

Some say the ripping open, the rawness of our scars creates the writer,

but I prefer the gentle movement of the leaves,

the touch of a soft rain, caressing my face

and ducks paddling quietly across

the slow meandering river,

as I listen to the silence

of my heart.

  1. Beautiful! Going through a very tough time. My younger sister is diagnosed with a late stage of cancer. Wish to read all your poems when I am going to visit and stay with her!

    1. Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear this. But I do know that many advances have been made in medical science, and there are treatments and medicines that are very good and were not available just a few years ago. Thank you my friend I will be praying for your sister and your family. Peace to each of you.
