Wing Span

20180524_183757

Wing tip to wing tip our wings covering the ones we love,

shielding the vulnerable from the smoke and the ruins,

our shadows still riding the wind, as we refuse

to hide behind our white picket fences,

taking to the air we know better now.

It was never about protecting ourselves,

but the victory was always in the giving,

in the prospering

of all the people.

Expand, and take in.

    1. Thank you Anna! Yes it is about out nation, but I think you are the only one to catch that. I like Ronald Reagan’s view – let them come and work, pay taxes and gradually go through the process. Only Nationalists want to hate the “other”. God says the opposite, to love our neighbors as ourselves. Peace my friend and wonderful blessings.
