In the spring woods, listening to the water dancing,
we can see more clearly to the other side
a spirit vision through the water,
bringing healing
through the mist
of battle scars.

If God himself came down to bring judgment on our nation what would He say to the rich attempting to remove healthcare from the poor?
Many with pre-existing conditions?
What would He say to leaders still putting brown children in cages?
What would He say to White Nationalists, some in government or even in media, continuing to spread hatred, inciting violence?
What would He say to leaders refusing to acknowledge the devastation of our climate changing, putting us all in danger and in harm’s way?
What would He say to a leader that lies about paying off women to keep quiet, about having sex with them?
And most of all what would he say to the people calling faith their home, as they bow down to their vulgar conservative idol, doing all they can to protect him, simply because he is called conservative?
What in heaven’s name would God say?

Realizing we are accepted and loved we put on
the adornment of spring
our spirits lifted, filled
with a sense of yes
the future is yet brighter,
than we had ever imagined.

In March it’s ok to let your hair get blown all over the place,
tossed by the wind
and to relish a light spring rain,
and then smile as the sun begins to appear,
gently caressing your cheek,
and it’s always good to fall in love
in March, walking together
as the tulips begin their journey of color.
Yes in March, it’s ok,
in fact it’s very good indeed.

Each leaf takes its turn, dancing
in the sunlight, proclaiming
the sweet victory of hope
in the affirmation
of spring.

As the embedded becomes visible and the Earth is reborn
we recall our dreams of new life
and the fire within
all that lives.

We each need to feel loved and accepted don’t we? Especially in this time, in this world in which we live,
we need to respond in the opposite spirit of hate.
White Nationalists create fear of the other and hateful rhetoric, even in these United States.
Let us stand together offering acceptance of people,
even those different than ourselves, with a vision of hope and unity.
I’m standing with immigrants, and all victims of violence, in our world.
Amen.

Sometimes the night can seem so beautiful,
and yet holds such a quiet deception,
the deflection of light
limiting,
our vision.

As seeds are to the soil, so are flowers to the heart,
and love grows creating
the person
we were always meant to be.
Life’s beginnings.

As the sunlight sparkles on the lake, a few clouds slowly meander,
brushing by a memory,
sparking really a prayer
a hope
that brings shape to a poem,
so gently.
