What Would He Say?

20170503_164915

If God himself came down to bring judgment on our nation what would He say to the rich attempting to remove healthcare from the poor?

Many with pre-existing conditions?

What would He say to leaders still putting brown children in cages?

What would He say to White Nationalists, some in government or even in media, continuing to spread hatred, inciting violence?

What would He say to leaders refusing to acknowledge the devastation of our climate changing, putting us all in danger and in harm’s way?

What would He say to a leader that lies about paying off women to keep quiet, about having sex with them?

And most of all what would he say to the people calling faith their home, as they bow down to their vulgar conservative idol, doing all they can to protect him, simply because he is called conservative?

What in heaven’s name would God say?

    1. Yes, I believe they have faith, but ideology and culture can take us in the wrong direction. Some simply do not understand poverty and climate issues, preferring their cultural news channel that spins what they already believe or want to believe. Thank you Holly, peace and blessings.

  1. I’d hate to say this aloud, but I would hope that God would strike the powers that be down with lightning and say, “Hey! How do you like that? Now, straighten out your F’ing ideals!!!”
    Okay, I feel better after blurting that out. Okay, resuming breathing.

  2. It seems it depends on who is answering the question sadly. There seems to be an ideological perspective. I am no different, given my political leanings I would assume he would say and mindful it was a rhetorical question,

    What would He say to the rich attempting to remove healthcare from the poor?

    Reminding them of the many, many verses in the Bible about helping the poor. He may mention the philosophy of some christian health groups that pay for each’s others health bills because we are called to carry each other’s burdens. {perhaps means pay tax so others can have health care}

    Be kind to the “alien”

    {There is no jew or Greek, blessed are the peacemakers. A reminder Jesus was Jewish}

    What would He say to leaders refusing to acknowledge the devastation of our climate changing, putting us all in danger and in harm’s way?
    {We were given dominion over everything not to control but to protect at least that is the perspective from environmental groups within the Anglican church}

    Thou Shalt Not Lie.

    1. DH thank you for your beautiful and heartfelt comments! Yes I agree with each one an you’re right He probably would say these things. I hope things do change for the better. Peace and blessings to you.

  3. Your honesty and heartfelt outrage, Nico, clearly came across in this post. People need to sit up and start paying attention! And what would God say? OH be wary of His wrath for those whose souls are so black that there is no light left. “Vengeance is mine”, says the Lord. Those who inflict such horrors upon humankind, their days are numbered.

    You just said everything. And I thank you.

    1. Thank you Cindy, for your encouraging comments! I really needed to speak out so I’m grateful. I’m convinced that if it had not been for good medical insurance my wife would have passed away years ago. She was in the best hospital in the world because of our insurance. Peace my friend and wonderful blessings.

    1. Thank you Anna, some of my Christian friends did not care for this, but that’s ok because I really needed to speak it/write it. It has been on my heart for a while. Peace and wonderful blessings to you.
