I’ll Be Resting in My Garden

I’ll be resting in my garden with my eyes only half closed

dreaming, aware of the earth’s spin

and of poems floating

through the clouds.

I’ve decided to take a summer break, which for me does not include hiding on Instagram and Twitter!

I will still be here, only less often. In addition to trips to the beach and the mountains I will be on photographic journeys.

Did you know that was my other hobby?

I’m also making time for something I’ve really wanted to do……and that is reading, as in reading books!

Reading outside is even more amazing. Now where did I put my sunglasses?

  1. Enjoy your rest. You deserve it. Just remember to crack those eyes open eventually and come back to us. We could get cranky! Ha ha ha ha

  2. I agree, we all need time away from the world of pixels and internet. WordPress is the only β€œsns” I use, and even this one site can eat up so much time. Like you, hubby and I make it a priority to log off and enjoy nature in quiet privacy.

Wishing you and your family a blessed summer!

  3. I wish you a wonderful break and a reawakening of living truly – unbound by a number of medias.
Reading now, that is different. Read outdoors or anywhere.

  4. Enjoy your summer doing what you love! Glad you’ll still be around. Your words are always uplifting! Blessings and peace. β€πŸ™βœŒ

  5. Amen! I love the sounds of this! Disconnecting from media and other distractions can be such a beautiful way to simplify life, slow down and enjoy the true beauty of nature all around us. I hope you are de-stressing and enjoying every moment of it! Best wishes and many blessings to you and those you love! πŸ’šπŸŒ»
