The Colors of the Night Sky – Part III

In his dream he was back at the gym, working out, working on his guns curling some barbells.

He was always happy with the way his arms turned out, especially when he caught the blond he liked, staring. Then she turned away.

“What is that noise……?” He woke up with a start wondering…..shutting off the Geo-Thermal Imaging Scanner. He began modifying the screen to accept the data.

It was -10 degrees outside, and the wind was moving at 40 miles an hour, sometimes more……

and it was snowing heavily. “Great, just great!”, He said out loud.

It was then that her colors began filling his mind……along along with the darkness of the deep night sky,

her voice so beautiful, was saying to his mind, “I can help you….with your leg…..”

He couldn’t help mentioning how cold it was outside. The colors stopped moving and disappeared leaving only the darkness of the night.

He panicked and said,

“Hello?”

He didn’t know she had stopped in her tracks, realizing now he had landed in the zone called “The Forbidden Winter”.

Swirling, pulsing, colors returned and she said,

“I can still help you…..with your leg……bare your leg so I can see it…..”

He thought of responding with something suggestive, but decided not now…..Purple light, or was it a mist? began surrounding his leg.

He fell asleep saying……

“I don’t even know your name…..”

  1. Never read these three excerpts before: just lit my skin on fire, erupting in goosebumps from head to toe. Please finish these.

    1. Wow, thank you so much! I love writing fiction this way! This series is one of my own favorites too. I plan to write a longer version, maybe a book but I’ve not had time yet. Peace and wonderful blessings to you. Thanks again.
