Starlight

starlight - from earth com

The most ancient of poets and sages, never saw you carry your fire My Love,

never had visions of your birth, and never knew of the vastness

of the oceans in your eyes,

but I knew, I knew

from the moment I saw you,

completely undone, by the power

of your starlight.

In the Whispers of the Wind

20180204_120052

In the spaces between snowflakes, winter’s breath unfolded,

reminding us of prayers breathed,

from our wilder moments,

when we actually did

have some faith,

when snow covered mountains

held us,

and God spoke healing,

in the whispers

of the wind.

Memories of Spring

20180428_172005

Our memories of spring My Love, will see us through

even these cold rains.

The light in your eyes draws me closer,

remember the cherry blossums?

I love the sunlight in your hair,

the smell of you

the sweetness of lavender……

and to be honest

even after all these years,

I’m still stunned by you…..

I can’t help but to kiss your face

while having visions

of flowers,

coming alive again….

My Second Biggest Blogging Secret

20180930_123716

Well, if you didn’t see my biggest blogging secret, it wasn’t really a secret, but it was to invest in other bloggers!

Spend time at other sites that interest you. So, now for my second biggest secret! Well it’s not really a secret either!

I try to bring hope and encouragement with much of my work. Let’s face it, we all need encouragement sometimes!

So I use terms such as “wordflow”, “spirit” etc. as a way of reflecting a positive life force,

and maybe even some healing. Poetry infused with nature can also bring healing.

I want my blog to be a positive place making the world a little more beautiful.

Art, and writing, and photography can do that! So now you know my 2 biggest blogging secrets.

I wish you all peace!

P.S. I think I’ve discovered a good writing plan/schedule. And sometimes you will see some adventurous fiction!

The Colors of the Night Sky – Part V

100_5345

When she awoke he was already outside braving the eternal blizzard, known as the Forbidden Winter.

She began preparing to leave again, saddling her horse, checking the pack animals……

she also connected to his mind, saying…..“I’m here!” He grumbled something inaudible and said he wondered where she was….

she smiled to herself. She knew they would survive, this and many other battles.

Fighting terrible beasts known as Slashers and their demonic blades, angry Behemoths, and ti – no…..not tigers. He had the Gift of Tigers.

They would protect him and help him, sensing the gift and his spirit.

And they would never harm her, now that they shared the strength of his purple light.

After she checked her weapons, she mounted, and rode in his direction…..

“Do you sense the tiger yet?”  she asked.

“Yes, are you sure about this?……” “Yes, just follow her.” “Her?” “Yes.”

He did so without fear, as if the tiger was a friend, which to him was amazing……the tiger led him through the blinding snow.

Several hours of high winds later, he was slowing down. The wind had drained his strength. The tiger stopped when he did, looking back.

Tana gave him some incentives, visions of herself……she actually teased him, with her eyes at first.

Then her mouth, so sensual and even the tatoo on her chest. It worked. He was able to stay awake and press forward.

He yelled, “You are in so much trouble when we finally meet!”

She chuckled, and encouraged him again with her eyes……

The End.

Art Blending

20190507_122047

I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed the series, The Colors of the Night Sky!

This was an exciting, pushing back the boundaries time for me. It was something new, and I purposely blended different types of writing.

Did you know you can blend different genres? I think science fiction, fantasy, and romance, work well together.

I also blended some poetry with prose, especially in the first piece.

Colors infused was something I enjoyed trying also. Don’t you just love purple?

Now I have a decision to make. I’ve ended the series here, but there is so much missing……

due to squeezing in the story into the wordpress format. I need to go further with this story, stretching my wings, developing and filling in the rest of the story.

Fiction is not most popular type of post, and I think the least favorite with readers.

That showed up big time in my blog this past week but I expected it.

So….I will cut back a little here while I think about it.

I love writing so thank you for reading!

The Colors of the Night Sky – Part IV

20170715_202838

Fusing bone back together was exhausting from this distance. She was almost a week away by horseback……

Just before dawn she decided to rest……but having touched his skin with her light,

even from this distance, she couldn’t help dreaming of him. All of the prophecies were true…..

she carried those words within her, and she could sense him, his very essence of who he was – when she healed his bone…..and even now.

She turned over, biting her lip even in her sleep.

And he could think of nothing but her, as he made ready to walk out of the landing craft into the hell of the Forbidden Winter.

The craft would be sinking into the frozen abyss within hours, according to the data.

He was mostly well, and needed to walk a little more than 4 hours until the ice field ended……

and this woman named Tana, from the Ebb People, had showed herself to him in a vision, or was it a dream?

She was the most beautiful, dazzling, yet strangest looking woman he had ever seen….Her eyes themselves seemed to be alive,

as oceans of the deepest blue. On her face were 2 small tattoos, one on each cheek, swirls symbolizing the ocean.

Her hair, was jet black, with large bangs……and yet there was purple flowing, actually flowing in her hair, in waves.

She had touched the deepest parts of him……did she know what he was thinking? How badly he wanted her?
