Encouragement today,
allow peace
to fill you,
to wash
your worries away.

I’ve decided to take a break from blogging here. After yesterday’s disaster with posting “Our Spirit Wings.” I decided it needed to happen.
I think there was a technical issue with it. However, I also hadn’t changed my password in awhile, and when that happens, disaster strikes every time.
So I need to step back because there are just way too much shenanigans on my site at the moment.
The fact is though, I love your posts and blogs, so this was a tough decision to make. And as you know I love writing. Colors fill my pages.
I’ll also be writing more short stories and working on my novel. Maybe even a poetry book!
I have also been exercising more, and devoting more time to self improvement, including reading and even yoga. Or at least I call it yoga!
I’m spending more time now with my wife, and I will in the future as she goes through another series of treatments.
Now, this does not mean I’ll be disappearing completely. I’ll be more part time when I come back.
Photography, my other hobby, will play a more vital role.
I plan to eventually return more fully.
Thank you so much! I appreciate each of you!
Wishing you peace.

Leaves dance to the rhythm of the rain, while tree limbs sway and I realize,
something within me enjoys the wildness of the storm, thunder rolls and boils in the sky,
yet I’m not afraid, instead…amazed how creation nourishes the earth, as the rain becomes gentle again.

We will know the peace internal,
recognizing,
the colors of the wind
when we reach out,
with our spirit wings.
Note: I deeply apologize but I don’t think this loaded properly today. I’ve had this happen before, so I will try it again. Again I apologize.

In this age of racism and strife, I wanted to make a statement that all people are welcome here!
Regardless of your race, or where you are from, or your language, or religion, or if you have no religion,
you are welcome here. Unless you’re a bully! No bullies are allowed on this site.
Diversity is a strength. We each have something important to contribute to our world.
I so appreciate all my readers!
Thank you so much!

Sunlight on the waves, and seagulls declaring their glory remind me of so many summers ago.
Of rafting in the ocean, and fishing in the twilight. Of swimming in the waves, ducking under
and the 14 year old me, being liked by the brown haired girl. I wished I had asked her name.
Of Dad and I walking the boardwalk. Of fried chicken dinners, and so many shadows of him
still living here, as I walk barefoot in the wet sand.
Lord God, I do miss him, but thank you for my Dad.
Happy Father’s Day.

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.”
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

and maintains a confident yet humble heart.

May our poems emerge from our wordflow,
shaping themselves to encourage
from the stillness
of our peace within.

The river slowly flowing, around logs, over and around rocks,
as if silence was waiting,
a peace settled in over the water,
or was it filling those empty chambers
I had prayed about?
No matter, river peace
had descended in its special way,
once again.

On that day, when he most needed it
coming from within the depths,
a voice…
from the most ancient of days,
saying…
“Peace,
be still.”
