Cloud Dreaming

20170628_132524As clouds drift in the endless blue, I lay my head down,

in the softness of the tall grass, dreaming.

I see visions of a peaceful world

of gentle moments in villages

meandering, along the river

a peace of green,

lovers undisturbed

where sky and earth embrace,

their people.

Such a long time ago.

      1. You’re most welcome. Thank you so much for the warm welcome. Right back at you! Peace and blessings to you also.

  1. Love it Nico, but not such a long time ago. There are still blue skies, tall grass and visions of peace. They’re just a little harder to see right now. Thanks for your thoughtful words.

  2. Beautiful poem. It reminds me of a place I visited recently, the Homolovi State Park in Winslow, Arizona. It is a Hopi cultural site along the Little Colorado River, in the middle of open lands and absolute peace and quiet (except for the wind).
