A heart filled with peace in the midst of the battle,
will offer more hope
than eloquent words
never spoken.
Be the light you want to see in the world.

As the trail opened up on top of the ridge, I was surprised by the brightness of the sun. Wildflowers in the tall grass moved gently in the wind.
I marveled at my spirit being at rest once again, and I was lifted into a space…..I had always wanted to discover.

The poem from yesterday, called “Night Wind” came to me so quickly and so clearly, I could not resist writing it down and posting it in a hurry, even though I had to be out the door.
That happens to me, even though I realize I need to slow down, or I think I need to retire from blogging. I always have more inspiration, just when I think I have run out of things to say! I have a writer’s voice like a river running strong.
Yet I always work hard and push forward, sometimes too much. To be honest 2021 has been a tough year. Several family members have died from cancer, and a close friend to my wife also passed away from cancer.
My wife still gets treatments for her own cancer, and that makes bad news even more difficult to deal with. I go on my own appointments for chronic pain, and I often think of the Beatles’ song, “Yesterday”. At least the first few lines.
My wife and I also had separate car accidents! We were both injured separately, but I’m ok now even though my car was totaled. My wife has improved.
It’s not the right time to retire from blogging. However whatever schedule I once had for posting, has gone out the window. I need to adjust my blogging balance and I’m thinking about possible strategies. I’ll keep you posted.
Thank you so much for reading!
Peace.

“The Earth has music for those who listen.”
Shakespeare
“There are always flowers for those who want to see them.”
Matisse
What moves our hearts? If we are to not be driven insane by the noise of this world, can we be brave enough to embrace the seen, in order to appreciate what we cannot see?
Nature is not often mystical and loving her has never been idolatry. Nature is God’s way of healing us.
Why else would there be flowers?

Many say her spirit still lives on the mountain, and some have seen her spirit when the pine trees are bending. She’s an ancient presence.
Her breath to this day carries power in her songs. And her name was changed in the days when the sun became brighter, from First Woman….to Wind Walker.
It’s true she mourns her people in her songs, yet even more she sings of the healing of all nations. The victory of the Earth, over death and destruction.
Do you hear her in the wind?

My wife and I have been married for a very long time! In fact we’ve been married for more than 35 years. Isn’t that amazing?! I think I’m even more in love with her now.
We are right now at an undisclosed secret location, enjoying each other, and enjoying some R&R. Now today is not the actual date because we don’t share dates on the internet, but we really are celebrating!
I have some posts for you, but I will be offline most of the time for a few days. I may check messages once a day…..maybe!
Thank you so much for being part of our journey and for reading!
Peace.
