When our words are filled with light, they will go on living,
beyond the page, beyond our fears, even
beyond our time, soaring into hope
wings defrosted
and courage,
filling us
and strengthening
each other’s hearts.

Good evening,
This poem is very well written. But, I cannot seem to interpret the following line,” soaring into hope, wings defrosted”.
It would be very kind of you to explain these lines.
Thank you for reading this comment.
Have a nice day ahead.
Thank you so much for your comments! I think I have seen you visiting my site before so thank you for being here! Now regarding the interpretation…….art and poetry are a lot alike. What the author/painter intends can be different from what the viewer sees. What do you think it means? I will let you decide instead of making it only my interpretation. Thank you again. Peace and wonderful blessings to you.
Good evening,
Thank you for replying to my comment. It is very kind of you to encourage your readers to participate in discussions.
After reading your latest comment, do you wish to say that a poem does not have to be what the author wants it to be that is, it does not have to mirror the thoughts of the poet exactly as he intends to. That a reader does not have to read a poem through the poet’s vision? That every word beaded within the lines of the poem is created so that each and every reader makes the poem his own. That the poem reflects what an individual reader wants it to ?
Kindly correct me if I am wrong. And if you don’t mind, I would like to portray my take on the poem.
I feel that the poem was made to articulate a simple message of how words can be used to enlighten the world with positive energy when written with a positive mindset. Ideally, words are meant to strengthen each other and mend their readers’ broken souls. When they are filled with positivity they will bear wings and travel free to spread their message and be remembered till the end of time. When words are written with the right mindset and good intention, their lifetime or existence will be much more than being imprinted on a parchment.
Sorry for such a lengthy message.
Thank you for reading my comment.
Have a nice day ahead.
