Solidarity

I’m flying the flag of Ukraine today in solidarity with the people there. May this war be over quickly. My heart is with them.

Ukraine has about 44 million people and has a democratically elected government. They have been an independent nation for about 30 years. Did you know that?

Some are surprised by Russia’s aggression, but we shouldn’t be.

No comments supporting Russia will be allowed here today. I will squash them quicker than a fly swatter squashing a fly. Was that strong enough? Russia is a bullying dictatorship. I do not allow bullies here!

Send some positive thoughts and prayers for Ukraine today.

Peace for Ukraine!

I Step Outside Frozen

In my given time before the dawn, I step outside frozen

but not forsaken, I allow the light to see me,

and all that I have seen, my heart

awakens finally, pressing

into this new day.

Visions Replacing Shadows

In the healing of the mountains a lone eagle gave me courage,

suddenly being able to see now, with visions

replacing shadows

canyons were no longer dark places

and the sky,

we love the freedom of the sky

don’t we?

was so much closer,

I felt I could almost

touch the center

of where

I wanted to be.

The Wholeness So Elusive

The wholeness so elusive is not hidden in the dark,

yet sometimes in the beauty of the night

we find ourselves through

our tears

and our prayers.

Wildflowers

I kissed her cheek

Courage to Be Who I Am

You see courage involves taking risks. And being vulnerable doesn’t mean allowing yourself to be mistreated or abused. It simply means taking the risk…..to be who you are.

I know that I am gentle, a tenderhearted soul and yes because of that I have been ridiculed and bullied. Yet I refuse to be someone else, not even for your reading pleasure.

I will continue to be a gentle person, embracing spirit, while wrapped in a male body….. simply being who I am. God made me this way. I am willing to take the risks and simply be…..me.

In the Blue Winter Sky

Encouragement spoke to me today

in the blue winter sky,

in the calm silence

of the pine trees

confident now,

I actually know

that storms do not last.

Dreams of an Early Spring

In my dreams of an early spring My Love,

I think of us floating over the lake

over the depths of blue

how we can let go,

releasing our worries

into the wind,

even our spirits soaring,

with the gentle sun

giving us

our wings again.

When the Snow Geese Return

When the snow geese return My Love,

it’ll mean the lake is unfrozen,

and we can walk the trail

with a hopeful sun

brushing our faces

our hands joined

and our hearts

filled

with that young fire,

we’ve always known.

This Year My Love

This year My Love, let’s hold each other closer,

on the day of love,

listening

to each other’s hearts

listening

in the silence

of the snowfall.
