I’m flying the flag of Ukraine today in solidarity with the people there. May this war be over quickly. My heart is with them.

Ukraine has about 44 million people and has a democratically elected government. They have been an independent nation for about 30 years. Did you know that?

Some are surprised by Russia’s aggression, but we shouldn’t be.

No comments supporting Russia will be allowed here today. I will squash them quicker than a fly swatter squashing a fly. Was that strong enough? Russia is a bullying dictatorship. I do not allow bullies here!

Send some positive thoughts and prayers for Ukraine today.

Peace for Ukraine!

  1. Sending my prayers to people in Ukraine, hoping for the peace to return. As you mentioned, I’m not surprised either by this act of aggression by Putin, that’s how megalomaniac dictators terrorize and oppress. I’ve no words to express my horror and anger!

  2. We are only 1’500 km (about 930 miles) away from the Ukraine border. It is absolutely heartbreaking how one person takes the right to invade another state. Not caring for anyone, any state, any law. I mean, it’s 2022, how can something like that still be possible? We had enough other problems that we need the world community to solve. Thank you for this post, Nico!

    1. Thank you Erika! Yet I had to write it my friend. Yes, the mentality seems related to ancient evil… the Roman Legions marching in 486 A.D. It is stupid and very archaic. For what glory?? People have died already, and it is a horrible tragedy. Yet maybe people will see this and be motivated to stop the evil, the insanity. That dictatorships should end. I hope so. Peace my friend.

      1. Very true, my friend! Why does history still repeat? But we must not forget that first and foremost this is the work of one person and not of the Russian people who bravely demonstrate for peace although they know how dangerous it is for themselves. I take a bow regarding their solidarity, humanity, and sense of justice.

      2. Oh, yes, I hope so too. Regarding humanity, human rights, and democracy he disqualified himself in front of the world. Peace and blessings to you and yours, Nico.

  3. Putin and his henchmen are putting the peace of the whole world at stake. I stand in solidarity with Ukrainians. It’s such a tough time for them 😒😌 Putin should be taught a lasting lessons. Even the lives of innocent Russians is at stake now. Who knows what might unfold?

  4. Praying for Ukraine! It’s quite surreal to see this happen. May God help Ukraine and give the people strength to resist dictatorship.

  5. Amen 🙏🙏, May God be with them all. I’m really afraid that the other little countries will be next. Let’s all pray for them.. 😢❤️❤️🙏

  6. Yes, and try Steve Schwartzman blog, link through mine as he posts his Ukrainian father’s writing about the loss of his homeland and being a refugee in the 1920s in solidarity with those having to suffer in the 2020s.

  7. I’m still in shock of what is occurring in Ukraine my gosh. My prayers to all those citizens there from me here in Swaziland, I have you guys in my prayers! God help Ukraine 🙏😭

    1. Thank you so much! I don’t live in Ukraine I live in the US. I am in solidarity with the people there though. Please keep praying. Peace and wonderful blessings to you.
