Still Filled with the Wind

That injured wing, still filled with the wind and lifted her,

even with pain and dried blood she was carried

soaring into the clouds, aiming for the sun

not exactly refreshed but it was working

both wings were part of her now

looking down, she refused

any sense

of despair.

    1. Thank you Maren! Yes our personal tragedies can be like that. I remember Rumi saying that our broken is where the light comes through. We need to trust and keep flying. Peace to you and wonderful blessings,

    1. Thank you my friend! I wrote this originally as a general “we all deal with some pain” type of post. Now I realize it does reflect some of what I’m dealing with now. Old wounds really. Strange how that works. The main thing is to keep flying. Thank you for checking on me. Peace and wonderful blessings to you.

      1. Whatever you write, always has a deep meaning and this time it felt to me like it was concerning you clearly. You are so right, the “keep flying” mode is so important., First to not get lost in old pattern and then to get the distance to look at them from a higher perspective and finally leave them behind… easier said than done, I know. Take good care, my friend.
