Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! This is such a beautiful time of year. At least for a little while we can freely talk of peace and love and being kind to one another.

Isn’t that amazing??

And I don’t think of this holiday as just one day. It’s a season. Ever heard of the “Twelve Days of Christmas”?

Many of you have a different faith than I do, so I wish you all Happy Holidays! Wherever you are around the world, may you have a blessed season of peace, time with family, rest, and provision for all of your needs.

I will be taking a holiday break this year. I know, I know what you’re thinking! I seldom do very well with taking breaks! I try, but I’m a writer so I write.

So as a compromise I will be sharing some older work, for about the next ten days or so. And I’ll share a couple new posts next weekend. I will check your sites on occasion. I love your work!

Thank you so much for reading!

Let’s hope that next year is a better one. Amen?

Peace.

Snow Dreams

As we drift into our snow dreams, God speaks in the whisper of the winter wind,

in the white mist of night covering

the waiting tree branches

outstretched,

with a certain peace descending,

our hearts awaken

in the morning,

encouraged

by the silence,

of beauty.

Note: It didn’t snow last night but I sure wish it had.

Heart Songs Remembered

As I walk through the woods now, there are so many maple leaves descending,

oaks leaves spinning

floating,

finding tree bark to hold onto

then falling again.

Others refuse to let go

shimmering

in the soft autumn sun.

**

And I realize I’ve known so many heart songs,

of prior seasons…..of heartbreaks,

opening, bringing in the light

gliding into open spaces

and guiding me

with phrases.

So I wonder, and I look forward to

the heart songs

yet to be discovered.

Autumn wordflow.

Choosing to Breathe This Way

Each step seemed to bring me closer to the secret realm, which really wasn’t a secret at all, simply unseen.

This path of peace, this chosen way of light wasn’t always easy,

what treasure is ever easy to find? Worthy,

embracing the forest and yet more

of who I am, was always worthy.

I will always choose to breathe,

this way

stepping lightly

into the realm

of wholeness again.
