We Hold On Anyway

20190915_155510

Even within our worst isolation, we rage

against the lonely grey

reaching, searching,

clawing at the edges

somehow finding the strength

to pray, or at least to look over our shoulder

sensing a speck of light,

the kind we used to know,

so that we hold on anyway,

building another layer

of hope.

The Enfolding

20180930_124305

His faith told him, actually his love told him too,

to stretch out his wings

and draw her in,

but she was already a warrior

so sensing his spirit she stretched out her wings

and they enfolded one another.

Holding on this way,

gave them both

courage and strength.

Note: As a couple we find that we are holding each other more now. My wife has started treatments for cancer again.

I only mention it because some of you ask about her. Right now the tough part….is emotional.

Wishing you peace.

Two Stronger Than One

20190919_112715

It always amazes me how a battlefield can draw a couple closer,

fighting together,

two stronger than one.

We hold each other,

alot more now.

Thank you so much for all of your blessings, prayers, encouragement and well wishes! What a wonderful blessing. It has been a very difficult few days but I will respond to each of your messages.

The Strength and Power of Love

20180707_164614

My wife never ceases to amaze me, she is the most courageous person I have ever met.

I’ve learned so much from her over the years. In fact the love we share, actually awakened me spiritually

when we first met years ago. To say that she is strong (internally), would be a huge understatement.

Having survived cancer twice now, she is still amazing, inside and out. Many chronically sick people can turn bitter, but not my sweetheart.

If I shared some of things that she went through the first time, including nearly bleeding out,

nearly dying, you would be shocked. I was terrified for years that she would die.

Anyway, I changed over the years, mostly due to adversity. My faith shifted dramatically.

And you know what? That’s ok. I learned to be more compassionate, more accepting of people,

and how to keep loving…..no matter what. So when you see strong women in my poems, like “Starlight” and in my fiction, I’m writing about her. I admire strong women now…..

just one of the many ways she’s had an incredible impact…..on my life.

Memories of Spring

20180428_172005

Our memories of spring My Love, will see us through

even these cold rains.

The light in your eyes draws me closer,

remember the cherry blossums?

I love the sunlight in your hair,

the smell of you

the sweetness of lavender……

and to be honest

even after all these years,

I’m still stunned by you…..

I can’t help but to kiss your face

while having visions

of flowers,

coming alive again….

The Colors of the Night Sky – Part V

100_5345

When she awoke he was already outside braving the eternal blizzard, known as the Forbidden Winter.

She began preparing to leave again, saddling her horse, checking the pack animals……

she also connected to his mind, saying…..“I’m here!” He grumbled something inaudible and said he wondered where she was….

she smiled to herself. She knew they would survive, this and many other battles.

Fighting terrible beasts known as Slashers and their demonic blades, angry Behemoths, and ti – no…..not tigers. He had the Gift of Tigers.

They would protect him and help him, sensing the gift and his spirit.

And they would never harm her, now that they shared the strength of his purple light.

After she checked her weapons, she mounted, and rode in his direction…..

“Do you sense the tiger yet?”  she asked.

“Yes, are you sure about this?……” “Yes, just follow her.” “Her?” “Yes.”

He did so without fear, as if the tiger was a friend, which to him was amazing……the tiger led him through the blinding snow.

Several hours of high winds later, he was slowing down. The wind had drained his strength. The tiger stopped when he did, looking back.

Tana gave him some incentives, visions of herself……she actually teased him, with her eyes at first.

Then her mouth, so sensual and even the tatoo on her chest. It worked. He was able to stay awake and press forward.

He yelled, “You are in so much trouble when we finally meet!”

She chuckled, and encouraged him again with her eyes……

The End.
