On that day, when he most needed it
coming from within the depths,
a voice…
from the most ancient of days,
saying…
“Peace,
be still.”

Oceans will hold, and keep our prayers
as we walk along the shoreline
breathing in the peace
of rolling waves
within the rhythm
more confident we are one,
or at least
more complete now,
and even in our weakest moments,
fully aware of who we are,
and that yes, we are able now
to trust the Divine
we walk taller……
knowing we are loved,
we lift our hearts
to the sky….

I wonder, does God get angry within the thunder? Or is it simply a matter of heat vs. cool air?
Last night I watched the rain from our porch, as if waiting for a revelation,
but it was only a downpour, pounding on the streets, driven by wind.
If God spoke……I didn’t hear Him…….at least, not this time.

A long time ago, when wolves were still the Elders of The People, there were journeys often taken by humans into the deep forest, in order to seek their advice.
As the young man named Two Wolves, spoke with the Elders he was amazed that they seemed to know everything about him, and that they genuinely cared about even the smallest details.
One Elder, a she wolf said, “It is good and right, for you to be in love with Songbird, never be ashamed of this”. The Creator cared about his love life? Tears came to the young man’s eyes, and they talked for some time.
It was dark and cold by the time the Elders asked to talk to Standing on the Mountain.
They spoke to him as the leader he was. Standing on the Mountain was not a proud, haughty leader.
He was humble, and wise. The Elders complimented him and told him to continue to be the man the people needed as their spiritual leader. “Be the counselor, be the one the people turn to……”
And they asked him to please help Sky – the new healer of the people. “The Creator flows through her, in a powerful way”……

In the focused breathing of our humble frame, we can draw in
a sense of peace, and our spirits can take wing
soaring within the heart of the mountains
being filled. And yet do we have the eyes
the heart song
to see the One?

“God is our refuge, and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Psalm 46:1
Is there any wonder why so many people have been encouraged by the Psalms? Is there any wonder why so many people have faith in the God of heaven and earth?
And the term here, “a very present help” means He not only knows everything, but He is the God of now, meaning He is right here, with us at this moment!!
Lord God Almighty, You know everything we go through, and we ask You continue to be with us! Amen.

quote from the KJV Bible
When our hearts live where the mountains touch the sky,
we will know the love,
our spirits lifted,
seeing maybe for the first time,
there is a One,
who made us all.

A whispering wind, the grass bending fresh,
cool air, from the side of the mountain,
down swirling
speaking, stillness into us
if we are listening,
to the voice
worth remembering.

Flowers were invented by the One
who made us all
to bring us strength,
and to help us focus
on the beautiful.
