Good Common Sense

20170503_164915

And on that day I heard our nation falling, with the horrific sound of our people weeping.

We were scared, so scared as the militias from Wisconsin, and Montana drove the streets of Washington,

armed to the teeth, in their pickup trucks protecting the self declared king. Black leather boots were also marching,

marching us down the wrong road. We had to follow the leader……didn’t we? We were so scared…

Many people think there are two parties in Washington simply arguing, never getting anything done.

The truth is though, the far-right is out of control. Refusing….to take the virus seriously, some refusing science or refusing masks.

Often trying to cut people’s health care, touting the Bible as a shield while people die needlessly. And there is also the suppression of voting….

And the other side is sinless? Not at all. Yet they are attempting to hold the president accountable, and to put the breaks on brutality,

and the hunger for more power. I believe General Jim Mattis (who used to work for the president) when he says the president lies all the time,

and doesn’t attempt to unite us. He seeks to divide us instead. The choice is clear…..

we need healing and good common sense….in our leadership.

VOTE.

The Light of Wisdom

100_1708

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.”

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Great leadership seeks wisdom from above,

and maintains a confident yet humble heart.

Amen.

In Those Canyons Within

100_1056

In those canyons within our lives where we search

for a safe place,

a quiet space,

to renew and begin again

we needn’t look far

to find the open arms

of nature and peace,

allowing

our rivers to run freely.

Note: I’m actually off today recharging. Following a one day out of seven concept. Until tomorrow. Peace.

The Christmas Hawk

20180204_120416

She loved the way the cold air filled her feathers on Christmas Day. First through the blue skies,

and then as she turned, and banked and even spun around twirling straight into a snow squall,

high up on the ridge. There was so much joy this day! A new day filled with hope, and life never ending, declared……openly.

it was all about the Anointed One, the star lighting the hearts of humans. She continued to twirl, banking and turning,

praising God with her wings as the snow came down heavily with the wind that never ends……

and somewhere in that wind beyond the tallest oak trees……she heard a choir singing…….

Merry Christmas everyone!

If you have a different faith I’m so glad you’re here. Peace and wonderful blessings to you as well!

Accountable

20170916_121457

Did you know our constitution established 3 different branches of government?

There is the Congress, the judiciary, and the president. Each are to be co-equal.

And that it’s the job of the Congress to control the purse strings of government?

as well as hold the president accountable? It’s in the constitution.

Ain’t that something? It’s their job.

You see in the colonial times they were very concerned about the president having too much power,

having had some bad experiences with tyranny and the King of England.

So now, today, if we don’t hold the president accountable, where is our democracy?

Boots

large-fort

I’m not sure when we fell in love with the sound of stormtroopers boots,

or embraced the concept that strong means destroying other people,

or why we’ve always mistreated people that are brown.

Don’t let anyone fool you, even if they’re waving flags,

hatred is, and will always be unequivocally……. un-American.

Where are you Dr. King?
