Surrendering to the Rain

20190530_144120

Whispers in the mist, surrendering to the rain,

as the wind gently plays with the leaves

I suddenly remember

a younger thunder

when you and I listened

to those sounds, that story

only told by summer.

So young we were back then,

yet we do

still hold hands.

Shopping for Hats

20190403_155706.jpg

I love your rosy lips, your bright smile as you try on different hats My Love,

looking in the mirror, looking to me for a sense of validation.

And if you wear this one My Love, no one will ever see me kissing

your cheek, under the brim.

Yes, you will always be beautiful

to me, with or without

your hat on.

Note: My wife wears hats all the time (except at home) because she needs to, having had cancer twice now.

Yet you will not find a more positive, beautiful person.

Two things keep us going as a couple and separately…….our faith in God…… and our love for each other.

Peace.

It’s Always Good to Fall in Love

20180424_135024

In March it’s ok to let your hair get blown all over the place,

tossed by the wind

and to relish a light spring rain,

and then smile as the sun begins to appear,

gently caressing your cheek,

and it’s always good to fall in love

in March, walking together

as the tulips begin their journey of color.

Yes in March, it’s ok,

in fact it’s very good indeed.
